In short: Smart Nudges are ready-made messages you simply switch on, while Manual Nudges are messages you write yourself (coming in a later release).
Smart Nudges
Smart Nudges are pre-written nudges built right into the AI Shopping Assistant. You don't write anything — you just turn the ones you want on or off.
They cover common shopping moments, such as:
- Welcoming a new visitor
- Greeting a returning visitor
- Offering help on a product page
- Reaching out when a shopper is about to leave
- Encouraging checkout when a shopper has a full cart
In this version, the wording of each Smart Nudge is pre-set (not editable yet). This makes them the fastest way to get started — flip a switch and you're live.
Manual Nudges
Manual Nudges are nudges you write yourself, with your own custom message for your own chosen moment and targeting.
Coming soon: Creating and editing Manual Nudges is not available in this version yet — it's planned for a later release. For now, this is just here so you know what's on the way.
(In a future release, when both a Smart Nudge and a Manual Nudge would apply to the same moment, the Manual Nudge will take priority. This is upcoming behavior, not something you can set up today.)
Which should I use?
Today, you use Smart Nudges — turn on the ones that fit your store and switch off any you don't want. Manual Nudges are coming soon.
