Shoppers can ask your assistant almost anything about your products, in plain everyday language — no special wording needed.
The assistant reads your Shopify catalog, content, and inventory, so it can answer questions like the ones below. Shoppers can phrase things naturally; they don't have to use keywords or exact product names.
Things shoppers can ask
- Product details — "What's this made of?" · "Does this come in blue?"
- Recommendations — "Help me find a gift under $50" · "Something for winter"
- Size and fit — "What's the difference between M and L?"
- Availability — "Is this in stock?"
- Store info that's in your store — "Do you offer free shipping?" (only if you've described it somewhere in your products or content)
- Cart and checkout help — "Add the red one to my cart" · "How do I check out?"
About recommendations
A favorite is asking for a suggestion — "a gift under $50," "something for winter," "a lightweight rain jacket" — and the assistant points to matching products. A few things to know:
- Recommendations come from your live Shopify catalog, so they always reflect your real products and current prices.
- The assistant won't recommend out-of-stock items.
- It never makes up products. If nothing in your catalog matches, it says so rather than inventing a result.
What it won't answer
The assistant can't see orders, so it can't help with order status, tracking, or returns. When a shopper asks about those, it lets them know and points them to your support instead of guessing.
