Yes — the assistant can add items to a shopper's cart right inside the chat, and it can point them toward checkout.
When a shopper decides on a product, the assistant can add it to their cart without them leaving the conversation. From there, it guides them toward checking out.
Checkout itself is handled by Shopify. The assistant doesn't replace your normal Shopify checkout — it simply sends the shopper to it. If a shopper chooses to start checkout through the assistant, some details such as their shipping address may be processed to complete the order.
The assistant does not place orders for shoppers or make any changes to your store. It only adds items to the cart and points the way to checkout.
