Pills vs Nudges — what's the difference?

Pills and Nudges both help shoppers chat with your AI Shopping Assistant, but they do different jobs and show up in different places.

Nudges live outside the chat

Nudges are small proactive prompts that appear near the chat bubble at the right moment to invite a shopper to start chatting. They work outside the chat window. You turn Smart Nudges on or off from the Nudges screen.

Pills live inside the chat

Pills are tappable chips inside the chat that help a shopper start or continue a conversation. They come in two types:

• Conversation Starters — chips you configure that appear on an empty chat.
• Quick Replies — suggestions the assistant generates mid-conversation.

An easy way to remember

Nudges bring shoppers into the chat. Pills help them along once they're in it.
