Since POWR sends automated emails from the United States, we are required to enforce and abide by the CAN-SPAM Act. Because of this, all automated emails being sent through our email editor must have the following:
- An accurate From and Reply-To Email.
Your “From” and “Reply-To” information will be defaulted to the account information that POWR has on file for you. To fully customize this information, you must upgrade to the Starter Plan.
- Subject lines that reflect the content of the message.
Since the subject line must accurately reflect the content of the message, all free plans will have subject line “Form Submission Received.” To fully customize the subject line, you must upgrade to the Starter Plan.
- A valid postal address in the footer.
By default, all emails will contain POWR’s mailing address. To change the postal address to your own, please upgrade to the Starter Plan.
- An unsubscribe link in the footer.
All emails must contain a way for subscribers to opt-out of receiving messages. Because of this, an unsubscribe link will be in the footer that cannot be removed.
If you do not abide by the CAN-SPAM Act, then you could be liable for each recipient that you send non-compliant messages to. POWR has the right to stop you from sending automated emails if we believe you are not complying with the law.
