Why We May Need Access
Most issues can be resolved without accessing your store.
However, for certain installation, theme, or integration issues, our team may need to inspect your BigCommerce configuration directly.
Providing temporary access allows us to:
- Investigate installation issues
- Check theme compatibility
- Review app configuration
- Reproduce reported problems
- Resolve issues more quickly
How to Add POWR as a Store Administrator
To grant access:
- Log in to your BigCommerce Admin.
- Go to Settings → Users.
- Click Create a User (or Add User, depending on your BigCommerce version).
- Enter the email address provided by the POWR Support team (dev@powr.io).
- Assign the user the Store Administrator role.
- Save your changes.
Once access is granted, reply to your support ticket to let us know. We'll begin investigating your issue as soon as possible.
What Access Does POWR Need?
To properly troubleshoot your issue, we typically request Store Administrator permissions.
This allows our team to review your store settings, theme configuration, and app installation.
We only use this access for troubleshooting the issue you've reported.
Remove Access After Your Issue Is Resolved
For your security, we recommend removing POWR's access once your support request has been resolved.
To remove access:
You can always grant access again if requested in the future.

Why does POWR need administrator access?
Some issues require us to inspect your store's theme, app configuration, and/or speicifc pages. Administrator access provides us with the necessary permissions to identify and resolve these issues efficiently.

Yes. We only request access when necessary for troubleshooting and only use it to investigate the issue you've reported.
We will never add any change that can impact your theme code in a way that is unexpected, and any change applied by our support team can be reverted upon your request.
Can I remove access afterward?
Absolutely. Once your issue has been resolved, you can remove the user from your BigCommerce account at any time.
