Migrating to POWR Email from another email platform (Shopify)

Moving to POWR Email means bringing your existing contacts across.

Before you start: only import contacts who have agreed to receive marketing from you. Importing people who never subscribed can lead to spam complaints and hurt your deliverability.

POWR Email uses your Shopify Customers as the source of truth for your list, so you migrate by getting your contacts into Shopify:

1. Export your contacts and segments from your current platform.

2. Import them into Shopify Customers.

3. Make sure each customer's email subscription status is set correctly. Only customers marked as subscribed will appear as recipients.

4. Load any tags you use for segmentation onto your customer records so you can rebuild your segments in Shopify.

Once your customers and tags are in Shopify, they're ready to email.
