What is a "conversation" in the AI Shopping Assistant?
A conversation is one shopper's back-and-forth chat session with your assistant.
How it works
- It's multi-turn. The assistant remembers what was said earlier in the same session, so your shopper doesn't have to repeat themselves.
- Context follows the shopper across pages. If they move between pages of your store in the same browser tab, the conversation keeps going instead of starting over.
- No sign-in needed. Anonymous shoppers can chat fully — there's no account or login required.
- It's session-scoped. A conversation resets when the shopper closes the browser tab, or after about a day. It does not carry over to a separate future visit.
Why it matters
Multi-turn memory within a session lets shoppers ask follow-up questions naturally, the way they would with a human helper. Note that the assistant does not remember shoppers across separate visits — each new session starts fresh.
