Checkout error messages and what they mean

1. "Difficulty processing payment option, please try again or contact support"

The price that is displayed on the front-end does not match the total that's calculated in the back-end. If this happens, the transaction isn't completed and the user cannot upgrade.

If you see a user run into this issue (or you run into it yourself), assign the ticket to Engineering.

2. Shopify 401 error

If the user is trying to pay with Shopify but is getting a 401 error, this almost means that the user does not have the app installed that they are trying to upgrade.

For example: to upgrade Contact Form, the user must have Contact Form installed. Having Form Builder or another POWr app installed via the App Store does not suffice.

3. Shopify Failed to Create Usage Charge

We have previously fixed bugs that caused Shopify users to not be able to upgrade from one plan to a higher plan. In this case, users have reported seeing this message:

{"success":false,"errors":["base: [\"Failed to create usage charge\"]"]}

If you encounter a ticket reporting this error, assign the ticket to engineering so they can look into the bug. You can also send the user this link so they can upgrade: http://powr.io/pricing?force_powr_pricing=true
