How long is shopper data kept, and how is it deleted?
Your shoppers' conversation data is kept only while you have the AI Shopping Assistant installed, and it's deleted automatically when you uninstall.
How long it's kept
There's no fixed expiry date. Conversation data is stored in POWR's databases and retained while the assistant is installed, unless a deletion request is made or you uninstall the app.
How it's deleted
Data is deleted in two cases:
- You uninstall the assistant. When the app is removed from your store, the conversation data associated with it is deleted.
- A verified deletion request is made. A shopper (or you on their behalf) can request that their data be deleted. Once the request is verified, that data is removed.
This keeps your store's data footprint tied to your actual use of the assistant: you keep it only as long as you need it.
