How do I pause or turn off the assistant?

You can hide the AI Shopping Assistant from your storefront in seconds, then bring it back whenever you're ready.

Pause the assistant

When the assistant is running, your Dashboard shows "Chat is live" with a Pause action.

1. Open your Dashboard.
2. Click Pause. The assistant is immediately hidden from your storefront.

Bring it back

When paused, your Dashboard shows "Chat is paused" with a Go live action.

1. Open your Dashboard.
2. Click Go live to show the assistant on your storefront again.

Turn it off completely

To remove the assistant entirely, turn off its theme app embed:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
2. Click Customize on your live theme.
3. Open App embeds and toggle off AI Chat Assistant.
4. Click Save.
